Solanke struggles, but Branthwaite solid - Spurs v Everton player ratings

Dominic Solanke endured a difficult outing in his opening Premier League start of the campaign, appearing short of sharpness and receiving a match-low score of 4 alongside teammate Mohammed Kudus and Everton's Brennan Johnson. Tottenham saw mixed showings across their ranks: Antonin Kinsky earned a 6 despite nearly gifting a goal to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, while Archie Gray and Andrew Robertson both achieved 7s for their dynamic play.

Jan Paul van Hecke, Micky van de Ven, Rodrigo Bentancur, and Sandro Tonali each collected a 6, whereas Savio garnered a 7 for an energetic showing on the wing. Struggling for influence, Mateus Fernandes and Omar Marmoush picked up 5s, with substitutes Lucas Bergvall registering a 6 after a near-winner and Mathys Tel rated 5.

Everton's defensive unit was anchored by the game's top performer Jarrad Branthwaite, who earned an 8 following a commanding performance and an essential early block. Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford matched that resolve with a 7 after denying Bergvall late, supported by 6s for James Tarkowski, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Harrison Armstrong, and Dewsbury-Hall.

On the lower end, Vitalii Mykolenko, James Garner, Thierno Barry, and Tyrique George were all awarded 5s, while Johnson managed just a 4 against his previous club after squandering a prime chance. Additional Everton contributions off the bench featured Jack Grealish, Jake O'Brien, and Hayden Hackney helping secure the contest in the closing stages.
