Solanke struggles, but Branthwaite solid - player ratings for Spurs v Everton

Tottenham Hotspur's showdown with Everton saw contrasting fortunes across the pitch, highlighted by an exemplary defensive display from Jarrad Branthwaite. Awarded a match-high rating of 8, the centre-back delivered a vital early block and anchored his team alongside James Tarkowski.

Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford also impressed with a 7, highlighted by his denial of a late drive from Lucas Bergvall. Meanwhile, Everton's frontline found momentum hard to come by, with Thierno Barry, Tyrique George, and James Garner each scoring 5, and Brennan Johnson earning a 4 following an ineffective outing capped by a wasted golden opportunity against his former side.

Spurs experienced their own offensive difficulties as Dominic Solanke received a 4 after a sluggish first league start, leading to a triple substitution on 63 minutes alongside Mateus Fernandes and Rodrigo Bentancur. Winger Savio and defender Andrew Robertson both collected 7s for their energetic contributions, while Antonin Kinsky earned a 6 after recovering from an errant pass to deny Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Despite second-half appearances from the likes of Mathys Tel, Mohammed Kudus, and Jack Grealish, neither side could breakthrough in a tightly contested fixture.
