Shedeur Sanders hires an agent

Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders has taken a significant step in his career by hiring an agent, Adie von Gontard, who serves as CEO of Young Money APAA Sports. Sanders, who previously navigated the NFL Draft and early stages of his professional journey without representation, joins a growing trend among players opting for professional guidance as their careers progress.

His decision mirrors that of former Colorado teammate Travis Hunter, who also signed with the same agency while playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars. The move could simplify any future discussions regarding Sanders’ status, particularly if the Browns explore trade options down the line, though the team has indicated a preference for retaining and developing him at this time.

Sanders’ choice to secure representation aligns with recent shifts among self-represented players, such as Marvin Harrison Jr., whose agent transition ultimately played a role in his trade from Arizona to Houston.
