Shane Beamer buyout, contract details as South Carolina Gamecocks coach

Following a difficult early-season loss to Mississippi State where a large lead slipped away, attention has turned to the contractual standing and financial terms surrounding South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer. The football program currently sits at two wins and three losses, sparking growing frustration among supporters in Columbia after similar late-game struggles from previous campaigns.

Under his agreement, Beamer stands to receive a substantial multi-million dollar payout if dismissed by the university, while simultaneously facing significant financial penalties should he choose to depart voluntarily before his deal concludes at the end of the decade.
