Ohio State freshman wide receiver Jeremiah Smith put together another massive performance on Saturday afternoon against the Iowa Hawkeyes, hauling in eleven passes for 202 yards and finding the end zone twice. Through the first five games of the campaign, Smith has accumulated 44 receptions, 823 yards, and nine touchdowns, maintaining a pace that threatens the single-season collegiate receiving record established by Trevor Insley in 1999.
Smith accounted for nearly half of the total offensive production for the Buckeyes during the victory and continues to rewrite program receiving marks while playing in just a fraction of the total possible quarters this year.
