The Seattle Seahawks finalized a roster shakeup Tuesday, officially signing Washington Commanders practice-squad running back Robert Henry Jr. to fill a void at the position.
Henry, who went undrafted in 2022 and was waived by Washington after failing to secure a roster spot, joins a Seahawks backfield where first-round pick Jadarian Price is recovering from injury and George Holani has struggled in limited action. To accommodate Henry’s addition, the team waived safety AJ Finley for the second time this month, though Finley had been activated from the practice squad ahead of the season opener due to secondary injuries.
The move also created an opening on the practice squad, where running back Jacardia Wright was placed on injured reserve. Meanwhile, the return of linebacker Ty Okada—who participated in practice Friday for the first time this season—could soon be imminent, potentially restoring depth to Seattle’s defense as early as Week 5 against the San Francisco 49ers.
