Seahawks-Cardinals Wednesday report: Tory Horton practices, Nick Emmanwori has new injury

The Seattle Seahawks enter Week 2 dealing with several health developments following a narrow 13-10 home victory against the New England Patriots. Head coach Mike Macdonald announced that starting quarterback Sam Darnold will miss the upcoming road game against the Arizona Cardinals due to a unique soft-tissue hip issue sustained just five snaps into the opener, though the team expects to keep him off injured reserve.

Drew Lock, who stepped in under center to guide Seattle to the Week 1 win, remains positioned to run the offense in Darnold's absence.

On the Wednesday practice report, wide receiver Tory Horton was back on the field, but safety Ty Okada sat out another session. Meanwhile, safety Nick Emmanwori was designated as limited by an apparent new issue after previously sitting out the season-opening contest while recovering from an ankle operation.
