Schade double earns Brentford point as Bournemouth await first PL win

Kevin Schade produced two goals to help Brentford salvage a 2-2 result at Bournemouth, denying Marco Rose a maiden victory in the Premier League. The attacker nodded the visitors ahead midway through the opening period off an assist from Yehor Yarmoliuk, before Justin Kluivert brought the hosts level shortly prior to the interval.

Marcus Tavernier subsequently slotted in his third strike of the campaign eight minutes into the second half to hand the Cherries the advantage, only for Schade to capitalize on a careless distribution error by goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic three minutes later to secure a share of the spoils.

The outcome preserves Keith Andrews' undefeated start across his first four league fixtures in charge of Brentford, lengthening the club's unbeaten streak against Bournemouth to a dozen league matches dating back to August 2014. Conversely, the hosts established a frustrating milestone by becoming the first side since Chelsea in 1992-93 to hold leads in each of their initial four top-flight encounters without claiming a single triumph.

Having previously thrown away a two-goal cushion against Newcastle the week before, Rose's team continues to lead the division in points surrendered from advantageous positions since the beginning of last season.
