Rodrigo Mora: ‘Football is crazy sometimes, Cristiano Ronaldo my idol’

AS Roma forward Rodrigo Mora extended his scoring streak to three consecutive Serie A matches after finding the net in a 3-0 victory over Sassuolo at the Stadio Olimpico. The 19-year-old, who joined the club from FC Porto for a fee of €25 million, has now recorded four goals and two assists across nine league and four Champions League appearances under manager Gian Piero Gasperini.

Reflecting on his recent surge in form, Mora acknowledged the unpredictability of professional football while expressing pride in receiving a call-up to the senior Portugal squad. He noted that although Cristiano Ronaldo has retired from international competition, the veteran remains a personal inspiration and a significant influence on his development.
