Amanda Serrano, the Puerto Rican boxing legend, is set to conclude her storied career with a final bout on home soil, aiming to leave an indelible mark on the sport. The seven-division world champion will defend her unified WBO and WBA featherweight titles against Australia’s Skye Falzon in San Juan on January 9, 2025.
With a record of 50-4-1 and 32 knockouts, Serrano is poised to challenge the women’s knockout record, currently shared with Christy Martin. She has already made history as the first and only Puerto Rican boxer—male or female—to achieve undisputed world championship status and was part of the groundbreaking 2022 Madison Square Garden headline fight alongside Katie Taylor.
Serrano’s upcoming fight, dubbed 'The Last Walk,' will be contested over 12 three-minute rounds, matching the format of men’s championship bouts—a first for women’s unified world titles. The 38-year-old fighter has emphasized her desire to go out with a fight, leaving nothing in the ring, while Falzon, also 38, has expressed her excitement for the opportunity to compete against a legend, vowing to write her own chapter in the process.
