Canelo Álvarez wins back world title as Houthi attacks cast shadow over Riyadh

Saul Alvarez secured the WBC super-middleweight championship on Saturday by defeating Christian Mbilli via a unanimous decision. The 36-year-old fighter successfully reclaimed his belt following his previous loss to Crawford.

The bout took place in Saudi Arabia despite local security alerts regarding drone and missile activity from Houthi forces. While these threats led to the cancellation of other regional sporting events, including a tennis exhibition, the boxing match proceeded as scheduled.
