Report: Cowboys will not be immediately extending Joey Porter Jr.

Following a recent transaction involving the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Dallas Cowboys, cornerback Joey Porter Jr. has found a new home in Dallas to support Christian Parker's defensive group.

Despite arriving amidst ongoing salary disputes driven by his representation under David Mulugheta, the front office does not plan to negotiate an immediate extension for the expiring contract. Instead, management intends to evaluate his performance on the field as the franchise pursues a championship during Mike McCarthy's tenure.
