After 13 years at the summit, Chris Gayle's untouchable 175 finally falls as Lhuan-dre Pretorius rewrites T20 history

Lhuan-dre Pretorius has rewritten the record books by shattering Chris Gayle's legendary T20 individual score benchmark, which had stood unchallenged for thirteen years. During a domestic fixture in South Africa, the young opener hammered an unbeaten 188 from seventy-nine deliveries, featuring fifteen boundaries and thirteen maximums, to eclipse the previous milestone of 175 not out set back in 2013.

Pretorius maintained a blistering pace throughout his knock, reaching his fifty in twenty-four balls before accelerating to his century shortly after. His destructive display propelled his side to a massive total of 267/3, ultimately securing a dominant 124-run victory after dismissing the opposing team for 143.
