League authorities are working to acquire video evidence related to Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs, who entered a no contest plea on Thursday to misdemeanor counts of battery and property damage connected to a May altercation with his former girlfriend. The hearing at the Brown County Courthouse resulted in a $1,000 monetary penalty for the veteran rusher, who stated during the proceedings that he acknowledged the gravity of the matter and assumed complete accountability.

Meanwhile, Brown County Circuit Court Judge Marc Hammer executed an order placing the discovery materials under temporary seal.

Following the court proceedings and Jacobs being placed on the commissioner's exempt list, the franchise is readying for their season opener versus the Minnesota Vikings without certainty regarding his status. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur expressed public support for the running back, referring to the circumstance as unfortunate, while MarShawn Lloyd is slated to assume primary duties out of the backfield.
