Raiders Mailbag: Will Las Vegas be buyers at the NFL trade deadline?

The surprising Las Vegas Raiders are preparing for a major Week 4 AFC West contest against the Kansas City Chiefs after starting their 2026 campaign with three consecutive wins. Following this fast start, discussions have turned toward whether the front office should pursue roster additions prior to the trade deadline, with suggestions pointing to young first-round talents like Brian Thomas Jr.

and Marvin Harrison Jr. if they become available.

Analysts suggest that leadership should prioritize long-term sustainability rather than mortgaging future assets for short-term gains, while remaining open to acquiring discounted youth. Meanwhile, adding older veterans such as Terry McLaurin or Vita Vea would require a more cautious approach to avoid compromising future team building.
