Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Jacob Misiorowski established a new postseason milestone on Saturday evening by unleashing a four-seam fastball clocked at 104.8 mph on his very first offering of the game. That opening salvo surpassed the previous playoff record of 104.5 mph set by Mason Miller in 2025, and Misiorowski followed it immediately with a 104.6 mph heater on his second delivery.
The young flamethrower already owns the MLB record for the fastest pitch by a starter at 105.5 mph, alongside the single-game mark of 57 pitches exceeding 100 mph achieved against the St. Louis Cardinals on May 25, 2026.
Having led the majors with 252 strikeouts across 174 2/3 innings during a 16-5 regular season, the twenty-four-year-old ace is widely projected to capture his inaugural National League Cy Young Award.
