QPR thump four past struggling Derby

Queens Park Rangers delivered a dominant 4-1 victory over Derby County in the Championship, extending their strong start to the season. Alfie Lloyd opened the scoring in the 18th minute, with Nicolas Madsen converting a penalty shortly after to double the lead.

Harvey Vale sealed a 3-0 half-time advantage before Paul Smyth added a fourth midway through the second half. Derby’s only consolation came in stoppage time from Lars-Jørgen Salvesen, though QPR’s lead would have been even greater had they not conceded that late goal.

The win leaves Rangers fifth in the table, while Derby remain winless in their last six matches and just one point above the relegation zone. Injuries also marred the game, with QPR’s Amadou Mbengue stretchered off late and Derby’s Sondre Langas forced out after just 12 minutes due to a collision with Rayan Kolli.
