Ping Golf has officially added four new driver models to the USGA conforming list for 2027, marking the latest advancements in its G450 lineup. The lineup includes the G450 LST (Low Spin Tech), G450 MAX (a more forgiving model), and G450 SFT (Straight Flight Technology, draw-biased), alongside a highly anticipated addition: the G450 MINIMAX mini driver.
The MINIMAX, designed with a 13-degree loft, is the first of its kind from Ping and aims to blend the brand’s signature forgiveness with a playful, high-speed approach. The entire G450 family introduces a new technology called FASTFLEX, which appears to enhance ball speed and consistency, even on off-center strikes—a feature likely to appeal to both amateur and professional golfers alike.
While the LST model will offer a 7.5-degree loft option, the MINIMAX is limited to 13 degrees, a choice that may cater specifically to tour-level players seeking optimized performance. The new lineup signals a potential shift in the driver market, as Ping’s MAX model could further challenge the dominance of other forgiveness-focused designs currently favored on the professional tours.
