
Ethan Hayter has agreed to a two-year agreement with Pinarello-Q36.5 for the 2027 campaign, departing Soudal-QuickStep as the Swiss squad secures its ninth incoming roster addition. The versatile 28-year-old Briton brings an extensive palmares featuring over two dozen victories, highlighted by overall triumphs at the Tour de Pologne and Tour de Norway, national titles, and stage honors at Itzulia Basque Country and the Tour de Romandie.
His recent efforts included a runner-up result in an opening time trial at the Vuelta a Espana alongside four breakaway appearances and a stint in the points classification jersey. Team principal Douglas Ryder praised the newcomer's engine and racing instincts following the announcement.
Hayter becomes the fourth British athlete on the roster for the upcoming season, joining Thomas Gloag, Fred Wright, and leadership figure Tom Pidcock in a squad that currently encompasses 26 riders. Other notable acquisitions for the organization ahead of the 2027 term include Mauro Schmid, Andrew August, Pavel Bittner, Tom Crabbe, Niels Driesen, Liam O'Brien, Sebastian Berwick, and Jan Castellon.
Pinarello-Q36.5 is undertaking a major overhaul as the management pursues a future advancement into the WorldTour ranks.
