Tanmay Baloda delivered a historic performance on his under-19 international debut for India, claiming fourteen wickets against Australia during a match held in Ahmedabad. The young spinner took six wickets in the initial innings and added eight more in the second to finish with match figures of 14 for 73, securing a ten-wicket victory for his side.
These figures surpass the previous youth test record of 12 for 92 previously held by Tim Southee. Although Baloda originally trained as a fast bowler before transitioning to spin, his exceptional control and endurance have quickly propelled him into the spotlight following earlier success in domestic fixtures.
