ESPN commentator Paul Finebaum has reversed his previous critique regarding Texas quarterback Arch Manning, following the team's narrow victory against Ole Miss. Earlier, Finebaum had demanded a leadership shakeup from coach Steve Sarkisian after consecutive losses to Oklahoma and Florida, but he has now dismissed those earlier harsh assessments as foolish.

During the recent matchup, Manning completed eighteen of thirty passes for two hundred twelve yards, tossing one passing touchdown and two rushing scores alongside two interceptions and a sack-fumble that allowed Ole Miss to erase a twenty-one point deficit before Texas ultimately prevailed thirty-four to twenty-seven.
