Isack Hadjar expressed significant frustration following a sixth-place finish at the United States Grand Prix, where he started from third on the grid. The driver attributed his poor getaway to a recurring mechanical issue with the clutch, which he claims is too delicate to handle race temperatures effectively.
Beyond the start, Hadjar faced additional setbacks including communication failures with his pit crew and an incorrect engine map that hampered his pace on hard tires. He has called for a complete engineering overhaul of the component to resolve these persistent performance obstacles.
Following recent finishes outside the top five in Singapore and at COTA, the driver is now shifting his focus toward the upcoming race in Mexico City.
