Oregon quarterback Dante Moore will miss the remainder of the 2026 campaign due to a concussion sustained during a September 26 matchup against USC. Head coach Dan Lanning confirmed the decision, noting that while the signal-caller is expected to make a full recovery, he has not received medical clearance to resume play.
Lanning emphasized that the choice to keep Moore sidelined is not related to the team's current 4-3 record or their exit from the national rankings. The Ducks, who began the year as the second-ranked team in the country, will continue to involve Moore in team activities despite his absence from the field.
Under current NCAA regulations, Moore remains eligible to compete in 2027, which pushes his potential professional draft entry to 2028.
