Nick Wright: Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker has declined since ‘splitting his time between football and activism’

Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker is facing scrutiny following a difficult start to the season, during which he has converted less than 70 percent of his field goal attempts. His performance reached a low point in a Week 7 loss where he successfully kicked only one of three field goals.

FS1 commentator Nick Wright suggested that Butker's recent focus on political activism and business ventures has negatively impacted his on-field consistency. This perspective contrasts with earlier commentary from Chris Broussard, who previously defended the kicker against public backlash regarding his 2024 commencement address.
