Olivia Miles faces fine after flagrant foul in Lynx’s stunning playoff exit

The top-seeded Minnesota Lynx suffered a stunning postseason exit after dropping an 87-71 decision to the New York Liberty on Tuesday. The victory completed an opening-round sweep, making New York the initial eighth seed to eliminate a top seed since the current best-of-three format started in 2026.

Rookie guard Olivia Miles endured a difficult night, contributing five points across nearly seventeen minutes before receiving a Flagrant 1 foul for contact with Breanna Stewart's face. That infraction could lead to a five hundred dollar fine and caused Miles to miss the entire fourth quarter on the bench.

Stewart previously led New York with thirty-four points during their ninety-one to seventy-five victory in the opening matchup.
