Musgrove (who last pitched in 2024) added to Padres' Wild Card Series roster

Joe Musgrove has been unexpectedly included on the San Diego Padres postseason roster for their Wild Card Series against the Chicago Cubs. Musgrove has been recovering from Tommy John surgery following a UCL tear sustained during the 2024 postseason and will pitch out of the bullpen in a limited capacity after experiencing recovery setbacks in his elbow during minor league minor league outings as a starter.

The club elected to carry eleven pitchers and fifteen position players on the roster.
