The Pakistan Cricket Board has blocked its athletes from participating in the upcoming Afghanistan Premier League following a government directive. This development prevents both active and retired players from accepting playing or coaching roles with franchises such as Balkh Zwanan and Kandahar Warriors, effectively halting any involvement due to worsening diplomatic relations.
The decision follows earlier friction after several Afghan players withdrew from the Pakistan Super League player auction earlier in the year.
