MNC: Palace thrashed 5-0 & trouble in the North East

Crystal Palace’s 5-0 defeat at the hands of Brighton on Sunday has reignited debate over the club’s future under manager Pierre-Édouard Sage. The heavy loss, which saw Palace’s struggles laid bare, has prompted questions about his leadership, the squad’s depth, and whether a managerial change could be on the horizon.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United’s recent setbacks have added to the unease in the North East, with criticism mounting over manager Matthias Jaissle’s tactical decisions—particularly the deployment of Dan Burn in a forward role during a 1-0 home loss to Aston Villa. The club’s struggles to find goals under Jaissle’s tenure have also drawn scrutiny, while Sunderland fans face uncertainty over whether new boss Régis Le Bris can reverse their fortunes.

Elsewhere, Nottingham Forest’s offensive drought under Oliver Glasner remains a pressing concern, with the team failing to capitalize on chances despite defensive improvements.
