Mike Norvell replacements: Ranking Florida State's best candidates from Jimbo Fisher to Deion Sanders

Florida State has parted ways with head coach Mike Norvell following a 36-24 defeat to Clemson that dropped the team to a 3-5 record. The decision follows a multi-year decline for the program, which struggled through a 2-10 campaign in 2024 and a 5-7 finish in 2025.

Norvell, who signed an $80 million extension after a 13-1 season in 2023, faces a substantial buyout of approximately $51 million. Potential successors currently being discussed include former Seminoles coach Jimbo Fisher, Arizona State head coach Kenny Dillingham, and Georgia defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann.
