Middlesbrough battle back for point but miss chance to go top

Middlesbrough missed the opportunity to reach the summit of the Championship after recovering from a two-goal deficit to salvage a 2-2 draw against Millwall. The away side built a surprising first-half cushion through early strikes by Tairyk Arconte and Lyndon Dykes, punishing the hosts' sluggish opening 45 minutes.

Following a triple substitution by Middlesbrough boss Kim Hellberg during the interval, the hosts dominated the second half. Amario Cozier-Duberry reduced the deficit five minutes after the restart, before Will Lankshear nodded home an equalizer shortly past the hour mark.

Despite securing a hard-fought point, the result ended Middlesbrough's perfect home record, leaving them sitting in third place.
