The Michigan Wolverines are making a late-season roster adjustment by adding two experienced transfer players to bolster their offense and defense. Former Miami tight end Alex Bauman, who previously played at Tulane and helped lead the Hurricanes to the College Football Playoff National Championship, will join the Wolverines for his fifth year of eligibility.
Bauman’s production includes 63 catches for 610 yards and 13 touchdowns at Tulane, along with 18 receptions for 166 yards and a touchdown at Miami, where his size and run-blocking ability could provide a much-needed boost to Michigan’s struggling tight end group this season. Meanwhile, Boise State cornerback Jeremiah Earby, who earned All-Mountain West Second Team honors last year with 60 tackles, four interceptions, and nine pass breakups, will also transfer to Michigan.
Earby’s familiarity with Michigan’s safeties coach, Tyler Stockton, adds an extra layer of value to his arrival, as the Wolverines look to further strengthen their already solid secondary with another veteran presence.
