Michigan football is looking to bolster its struggling 2024 campaign with two high-profile transfer additions, according to reports. The Wolverines, currently at 3-2 overall but faltering in Big Ten play, are in advanced talks to land former Miami tight end Alex Bauman and Boise State cornerback Jeremiah Earby.
Both players entered the transfer portal within the last 24 hours and could join Michigan’s roster immediately, given their eligibility under Big Ten rules. Bauman, a 2022 recruit who played three seasons at Tulane before a year at Miami, boasts 81 receptions for 776 yards and 14 touchdowns over four years.
Earby, a standout defensive back with 155 career tackles, 32 pass breakups, and seven interceptions, also played two seasons at Cal prior to his time at Boise State, where he recorded 60 tackles, six pass breakups, and four interceptions last year. Michigan’s pursuit comes as the program seeks to stabilize its offense, which has been a major liability, while reinforcing its defense to salvage a season in serious jeopardy.
