Phoenix Suns head coach Jordan Ott has assembled a coaching staff with deep NBA experience and a strong track record of player development. The team retains full continuity from last season, with key assistants including Chaisson Allen, who led the Suns’ 2026 Summer League squad to a 3-2 record and helped Khaman Maluach earn All-Summer League second-team honors.
Allen, the second-longest-tenured assistant behind Brian Randle, brings a background in prospect development, having worked with players like AJ Green, Lonnie Walker IV, and Christian Wood during his 20-year career spanning college and G League coaching, as well as overseas professional play after going undrafted in 2011. DeMarre Carroll, a 10-year NBA veteran, also joins the staff, having previously played alongside Ott in Brooklyn, Cleveland, and Los Angeles.
Carroll’s coaching experience includes mentoring young Suns prospects like Ryan Dunn, Oso Ighodaro, and Khaman Maluach during the 2025 Summer League, while his playing career featured elite team contributions, including a 60-22 season with the 2014-15 Atlanta Hawks, a team with four All-Stars. Rounding out the staff is Sean Dwyer, who oversees game planning, video coordination, and tactical analytics, with a Michigan State connection as a former student manager and prior college video coordination roles at Florida and Alabama.
