Denver Broncos wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. was forced to leave the field during a Monday Night Football clash with the Kansas City Chiefs after sustaining a hip problem. His departure came during a Week 1 opener that also saw Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes scramble to register the game's first touchdown.

Denver had declared six players inactive for the road contest, designating Tyler Badie as a scratch while dressing first-year rusher Jonah Coleman. Kansas City similarly entered the divisional battle shorthanded, having sidelined two starting contributors ahead of kickoff.
