Leylah Fernandez’s Boyfriend Vincent Has 1-Word Reaction As Canadian Makes It To Ningbo Open Semifinal

Leylah Fernandez advanced to the semifinal round of the Ningbo Open following a three-set triumph over Ekaterina Alexandrova on Friday. Dropping the opening frame four to six, the Canadian athlete completely turned the tide by claiming the next two sets six to two and six to one while denying her opponent a single break point during that stretch.

This tournament result brings her overall head-to-head tally against Alexandrova to three wins and three losses, closely following another recent three-set victory over the same opponent at the Wuhan Open.

Following her quarterfinal advancement, Fernandez shared celebratory photographs on social media expressing excitement for the next round. Her partner, professional ice sled hockey player Vincent Boily, replied publicly to the online post with a concise message of encouragement.

Speaking with reporters after the match, Fernandez reflected on how she adjusted her tactics and maintained her competitive edge after falling behind in the initial set.
