Tennis Channel gatekeeping WTA World No. 1 Elena Rybakina Ningbo Open SF behind paywall

Tennis fans are expressing frustration as the Tennis Channel has relegated the Ningbo Open semifinal between Elena Rybakina and Diana Shnaider to its paid digital streaming service. While the network prioritizes broadcasting the ATP 250 Almaty Open, viewers must pay a monthly fee of $11.99 or an annual cost of $109 to access the higher-tier 500-level tournament match.

This scheduling decision has sparked concerns regarding the broadcast accessibility of other upcoming high-profile matchups, such as the Lyon Open semifinal featuring Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul.
