Tilak Varma: 'Proud to Finish the Game' for India

Tilak Varma steered India to a narrow four-wicket win over New Zealand in the second T20I, securing a 2-0 series advantage. After the visitors stumbled to 70 for five while chasing 181, Varma struck an unbeaten 51 from 26 deliveries to guide his team home with one ball remaining.

A vital 69-run partnership alongside Nitish Kumar Reddy helped stabilize the innings following a dominant spell from Mitchell Santner, who claimed four wickets for 21 runs. Varma attributed his composure to pre-match guidance from Gautam Gambhir and Sitanshu Kotak, who encouraged him to anchor the chase.

Naman Dhir also contributed a quick 31 off 17 balls before his dismissal in the 15th over.
