Late Ipswich comeback sinks 10-man Palace

Ipswich secured a dramatic 3-2 victory at Selhurst Park against ten-man Crystal Palace, marking their initial top-flight away triumph since April 2025 and halting a 32-match streak without a win after shipping the opening goal that originated in December 2001. The hosts struck first in the 14th minute when Anan Khalaili found the net via a deflection from the edge of the penalty area, though Kjell Scherpen soon had to deny Jorgen Strand Larsen to prevent a second.

Gary O'Neil's side restored parity on 23 minutes through Emersonn nod-in from Leif Davis' delivery, before Palace suffered a major blow at the 34-minute mark when Axel Disasi received an outright dismissal for a studs-up challenge on Jack Clarke. Davis then directed home a header past Walter Benitez right before the interval to edge the visitors in front.

Palace mounted a response with fifteen minutes remaining when Daichi Kamada set up Strand Larsen, who held off Issa Diop to slot an equaliser inside the bottom corner. However, the visitors clinched all three points in the 90th minute as substitute Zian Flemming forced the ball home on the rebound following a header that bounced off the woodwork.
