La Liga icon launches scathing criticism of Vinicius and Real Madrid: ‘Incapable of justifying his status’

Samuel Umtiti has publicly questioned the current form of Vinicius Junior, suggesting the Real Madrid forward is struggling to regain his peak performance following his second-place finish in the 2024 Ballon d'Or voting. The criticism comes amid broader discussions regarding the player's recent output and his integration into the tactical setup managed by Jose Mourinho.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid recently secured a 3-2 victory over AEK Athens, a match that saw the club navigate a penalty controversy and ongoing questions about their attacking rotation.
