Ahead of the upcoming training camp, New York has secured two players on two-way agreements by adding rookie Tyler Nickel and returning forward Kevin McCullar Jr. Nickel enters the organization after being selected 47th overall, following an impressive exhibition stretch where he scored 12.2 points per contest and sank six shots from beyond the arc against Brooklyn.
During his final collegiate campaign, the sharpshooter finished second in the SEC by converting 110 three-point attempts and ultimately chose to bypass a potential return to school to launch his professional journey.
Meanwhile, McCullar remains with the franchise for a third consecutive year on a two-way deal after initially entering the league as the 56th selection in the 2024 Draft. Last year, the 6-foot-6 wing saw limited action across 21 appearances with the main squad while also putting up 16.8 points, 6.2 assists, and 5.4 rebounds through 14 G League contests.
Following these two roster additions, the front office leaves a single open two-way slot remaining on the eve of camp.
