Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty will take the field Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, despite earlier speculation that he might sit to recover from ankle and foot injuries. Coach Klint Kubiak confirmed Jeanty’s availability Wednesday, dismissing reports suggesting the team would hold him out to allow further healing.
The back suffered an ankle injury during training camp and later added a foot issue to his injury report before Week 5. Though he was limited in practice last Thursday and skipped Friday’s session entirely, Kubiak noted Jeanty’s physical progress, calling his recovery encouraging.
In his last game action, Jeanty logged 32 of 60 possible snaps, rushing for 27 yards on 10 carries and catching three passes for 50 yards. With 88 carries and 22 receptions already on the season, the coach expressed optimism about Jeanty’s readiness, emphasizing the need for more full-speed reps in preparation for Sunday’s matchup.
