Following a fourth consecutive defeat, the Las Vegas Raiders are evaluating their quarterback situation. Head coach Klint Kubiak declined to guarantee Kirk Cousins will remain the starter, leaving the door open for rookie Fernando Mendoza to take over the role.
During Sunday's 35-21 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, Cousins struggled early, managing only 39 yards in the first half as the team fell into a 28-6 deficit. Although he finished with 295 yards and two touchdowns, much of that production occurred against a soft defensive scheme late in the game.
Cousins acknowledged the organization's right to pursue the best path forward and expressed his willingness to support Mendoza if the team decides to make a change.
