Kenyon Sadiq picks up first career touchdown

Rookie tight end Kenyon Sadiq made an immediate splash during his pro debut on September 13, 2026, finding the end zone on the New York Jets' initial possession against the Tennessee Titans. The former Oregon standout entered the Week 1 road contest after missed time in the summer, helping spark New York to a 23-10 victory in a matchup featuring five first-round selections, including Tennessee draftees Carnell Tate and Keldric Faulk.

Starting quarterback Geno Smith was highly efficient, connecting on 19 of his 24 throws for 215 yards, while running back Breece Hall totaled 102 yards on the ground. Wideouts Garrett Wilson and Adonai Mitchell also contributed heavily, with Wilson hauling in six passes for a team-high 79 yards and Mitchell catching all three of his targets for 60 yards.

Despite the victory, the Jets suffered early setbacks as both Minkah Fitzpatrick and Omar Cooper Jr. departed in the first quarter due to injuries, while Tim Patrick and Kene Nwangwu were already unavailable prior to kickoff.

For Tennessee, rookie linebacker Anthony Hill Jr. claimed team Player of the Game recognition despite the defeat.
