Golden Nuggets: Offensive line was Week 1’s pleasant surprise

Following a season-opening victory against the Los Angeles Rams, the San Francisco 49ers saw strong play across the board, highlighted by an offensive line that kept quarterback Brock Purdy clean while Nick Bosa and the defense harassed Matthew Stafford. Head coach Kyle Shanahan integrated six rookies into the lineup during Week 1, though wide receiver De'Zhaun Stribling went down with an injury, prompting a promotion from the practice squad.

San Francisco now turns its attention to a Week 2 home clash at Levi's Stadium against the Miami Dolphins, who fell 27-13 to the Las Vegas Raiders in their opener. First-year coach Jeff Hafley chose to keep Miami practicing in Northern California throughout the week to foster team cohesion after running back De'Von Achane was limited to 36 rushing yards across 11 attempts.
