George Russell secured a fourth-place finish at the Brazilian Grand Prix despite a mid-race mishap. The Mercedes driver lost control while exiting his pit box after switching to soft tires, forcing him to maneuver the car manually to resume his race.
Russell attributed the incident to cold tires and power unit limitations that prevented a full rotation. He noted that the result helped secure the constructors' championship for his team.
Following a recent performance dip compared to teammate Kimi Antonelli, who recently clinched the drivers' title in Mexico, Russell expressed confidence in his regained pace. He is now preparing for the upcoming race in Las Vegas.
