The Seattle Seahawks have agreed to terms with free agent running back Joe Mixon, adding him to their practice squad. Mixon, who last played in January 2025, missed the entire 2024 season due to a foot injury before being released by the Houston Texans in March.
The move comes as the Seahawks navigate a backfield with injuries, including recent additions of Jadarian Price to injured reserve and Zach Charbonnet’s return from an ACL tear. Mixon’s 2023 campaign with the Texans was standout, with 1,016 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns, earning him Pro Bowl recognition in his first season with the team.
Over his NFL career, the former second-round Bengals pick has accumulated 7,428 rushing yards and five 1,000-yard seasons, spanning 11 years in the league before joining Houston.
