Legal fallout has struck the golf media landscape following a controversial promotional video that previously cost a major manufacturer partnership and sparked leadership changes. Former brand and marketing executive Jeff Lefkovits has filed a defamation complaint in Texas against the golf media company and former chief executive Matt Kendrick, seeking financial damages exceeding one million dollars.
The action stems from a commercial featuring co-founder Garrett Clark and player Alexis Miestowski, which drew heavy criticism over a depiction involving physical aggression and a promotional club. Although executive leadership publicly accepted blame and removed the footage, the plaintiff maintains his department was unfairly blamed for modifications he never authorized.
