Florida football rankings: Where will Gators fall after Missouri loss?

Following their initial defeat of the autumn, the eighth-ranked Florida squad dropped a lopsided forty-five to seventeen contest against twenty-fifth-ranked Missouri. The matchup took place on Saturday, October third, at Memorial Stadium in Columbia, Missouri.

The victorious Tigers stifled the visiting ground game by restricting the opposition to just forty-two rushing yards, forcing quarterback Aaron Philo to rely on the aerial attack and connect with Dallas Wilson for a touchdown. While analysts ponder how far the Gators might tumble in the upcoming AP Top 25 and US LBM Coaches Poll, other ranked programs like fourteenth-ranked Iowa also suffered setbacks during the fifth week of competition.
