F1 Bahrain GP in Malaysia: Verstappen dominates for first pole of 2026 from Hamilton

Max Verstappen secured the initial pole position of the 2026 Formula One season by leading every phase of qualifying at the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia. The Red Bull competitor clocked the quickest time during all three sessions at Sepang, following up on his leading performance in Friday's opening practice and securing his first pole since the conclusion of the 2025 season in Abu Dhabi.

Hamilton will start alongside him on the front row.
