Deion Sanders removes players after Colorado blowout as safety apologizes

Following a heavy 41-7 defeat to Northwestern that ended a two-game winning streak, Colorado head coach Deion Sanders announced that multiple players have been removed from the program due to a pattern of conduct harmful to the team. The roster changes follow a contest where the Buffaloes struggled significantly, committing four turnovers while quarterback Julian Lewis managed 168 yards passing and a single touchdown pass to Joseph Williams.

During the same media session, safety Ben Finneseth stepped forward to issue a public apology for disparaging remarks he made regarding Northwestern's temporary stadium prior to kickoff. The disciplinary actions and public contrition set a strict tone for Colorado as the team prepares to face Baylor next.
